About Tokie Sidney

Born in Setagaya, Tokyo. She has lived in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Indiana, Wisconsin, the island of Oahu, and the island of Maui. She has a BA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She now lives in Haiku, Maui with her photographer husband. She enjoys cooking, swimming, Haiku poetry writing, parties with friends, and going out with her husband. She also teaches ESL(English as Second Language) classes part-time at Maui Communuty College. Her favorite words are “ You are what you do,” and “無常” (Pronounced Mu Jo, meaning nothing and no one in this world ever stays the same.Things keep moving and changing.)

東京都世田谷区出身。今までに住んだ場所は東京，神奈川， インディアナ州、ウィスコンシン州、オアフ島ワイキキ、マウイ島。 ウィスコンシン州立 大学で広告／ジャ−ナリズムを専攻。 現在はアメリカ人の夫（プロカメラマン）とマウイ島のハイク地区に在住。趣味は料理，スイミング、俳句（マウイホトトギス会会員）、友人とのパーティー、ダンナさんとのお出かけ。マウイコミュニティーカレッジで留学生向けの英語プログラムの講師もしている。TOEIC 985点。 好きな言葉は“You are what you do(人はその人の行動が形づくる）”、そして “無常（世界のすべての物事、人々は川の流れのように常に変化している）”
